He willed his Spirit into being before the dawn of time Watched the birth of lesser gods, fragile and sublime He stood by as they took His clay, and marred what He had made Observed them in their apathy, Languid and dismayed Yet He called them into the Light He who lit the Sacred Fire and formed the Cosmic Clay Shone Brighter than the highest god, yet humble was His way Prometheus, the Gracious, rightful owner of the Throne He freely shared the glory that was due to Him alone He brought forth Vedya, sending stars into the night Set galaxies in motion, new worlds into flight The gods, He allowed to fill the world with their own designs And went about correcting all the forms they left maligned Though they erred, He loved them as His own He who lit the Sacred Fire and formed the Cosmic Clay Shone Brighter than the highest god, yet humble was His way Prometheus, the Gracious, rightful owner of the Throne He freely shared the glory that was due to Him alone When all was made the gods were given galaxies to roam Each would find a fresh new world and call his planet his home Needy gods pursued Him seeking blessings from their Lord His Sanctums were defiled by feet of trampling hordes Elsewhere Zeushin saw dissension rise among his brothers He instituted rule and set himself above the others One by one the gods all swore allegiance and kissed his ring Even Lord Prometheus named the upstart as His king He who lit the Sacred Fire and formed the Cosmic Clay Shone Brighter than the highest god, yet humble was His way Prometheus, the Gracious, rightful owner of the Throne He freely shared the glory that was due to Him alone

Verse 1 Prometheus wrought beauty on the Earth A paradise of Forest, Sea, and Stone Producing countless wonders with his hands Such marvels would he make when left alone Rumors of Earth's grandeur reached the gods Who arrived with the king in countless hordes The king built his palace in the mountains And praised the Maker with his lofty words Verse 2 Prometheus attended their festivities Careful to include them in his light The gods adored his splendour in the day While their envy turned to malice in the night One day a herald came to call him A summons to appear before the king They commanded him to don the Mask of Darkness And he shuddered at the thought of such a thing Chorus Beware the honeyed words of the Merchant of Shame Whose malice hides behind a noble deed Never will his gluttony be satisfied For the Shaming Merchant always needs to feed Verse 3 At first the Lord rejected their appeal And rightly called their punishment unjust But Gorthang cast a spell of twisted words Convincing all that wear the Mask he must So Prometheus donned the horrid shroud His bones ached with crippling guilt and shame And while Gorthang ruled from the shadows Distorted rumors cursed the Maker's name Chorus Beware the honeyed words of the Merchant of Shame Whose malice hides behind a noble deed Never will his gluttony be satisfied For the Shaming Merchant always needs to feed

Friends came to visit the Wraith But a traitor revealed His plans Gorthang accused him of treason With wicked desires for the making of man Hathem bound the Wraith in chains He drove Him for leagues like a ghoul He paraded the Lord through the streets Whipped like a beast and scorned as a fool They brought him to the Council To convict him of his crime Forced to swear a faulty oath And pushed beyond his paradigm He saw Gorthang's true intent In a dagger which hung from his side The Truth was unveiled before him And it could not be denied His mercy as deep as the ocean Forbearance as old as the stars But oceans will boil, and stars will explode If their limits are pushed too far He knew the fate in store for Him Once he'd shown them the making of man So He shed His Cloak and shattered the Mask To thwart their evil plan With Cosmic Clay and Flame of Life He vanished without a trace For his mind was untrammeled by guilt Once the Mask was removed from his face His genius deep as the ocean Cunning as bright as the stars a Will to Power Awakened By those who pushed Him too far "See here the Symbol of My surrender, and see now My Rising!" "But the genius of Prometheus, untrammeled by the bit and harness of guilt, reawakened to the vigor of Mastery, now gave thought to peerless cunning, dissimulation, and deceit, realms of thought and action once mastered by Gorthang, bending now their knees to a New Master." With Wisdom deeper than oceans Glory which soars beyond the stars Prometheus is Risen against The fools who pushed Him too far "Deception and cunning I too can practice Gorthang. I too can master agendas concealed, and dissemble without peer. I too can bring death to My enemies – Yea, more so than you."

Prometheus took the Clay and formed it into men First He made the Elders, then went to work again Thousands did he make setting them upon the knoll He sang into their dreams, Great Visions filled their souls Awakened to a Paradise preserved in script and song They explored their habitation, growing friendships deep and strong But while they laughed and sang, and hearts were filled with love Hatred vile and hideous was soaring up above While they danced and played, and cheeks were rosy red Something dark and sinister was lurking up ahead In a guise of feathers, malignant and absurd Behind a crooked beak flew Gorthang as a bird As the buzzard spied Prometheus malice held his will Beak and talons forward, Gorthang dove in for the kill But something magick happened which the bird did not expect The Lord grew taller than a mountain as he moved and stood erect The ugly bird was startled, nearly crashed into the ground He flapped his wings in panic, to flee and not be found Fire of creation, a Nation in its youth Faustian and striving, a search for Light and Truth They who keep the silent path, who count the stars at night Shall be Wardens of the White Fire, and Bringers of the Light The next time three birds appeared to watch from high above To take note of his process, as He formed Man with great love The feathered gods departed, and started making men Gorthang wove a tangled web to confound them all again Hordes of men were made, a sea to overwhelm and drown And Gorthang duped the King as he planned to steal his crown All this while Prometheans built structures grand and tall

"For I have made you as ethereal beings in my own image, white petals upon a supple flame that once drowned in the mire cannot be reclaimed. Tarnish the flame and it may rise again and again, but plunge it into darkness, and no spark can rekindle its fires." "To endure, you must master yourselves, and that journey begins by looking within." Masule brought a host of gods to celebrate and feast Human flesh defiled by subhuman writhing beasts The horde began the march to war, Grotesque were their desires Valindeal awoke to reports of sky-borne fires The captain summoned Moorlin and called out for the Lord He mustered the Razorum and rode out to meet the horde Remlokk hailed his captain as he rode upon the plain The pieces were in motion, but did they move in vain? Valindeal prepared himself to sound the horns of war Prometheus appeared to manifest rapport Hail the Valaroma and the Armies of the Light Who purge the ghouls of darkness like a Fire in the Night The time is near at hand, when Wrath will show its face Shrink not from your destiny, Rise up and take your place Prometheus! Prometheus! Prometheus! Prometheus! Prometheus! Prometheus! With Fellowship and Love, His wisdom to bestow He sent them into caverns deep to trap their haughty foe "The choking screams and desperate cries of men washed over the pitted fields of Arn-Gelwain: throats pierced by spears, veins severed, geysers of black froth, lungs filling with blood round the tusks of jagged darts, flesh melting under the dragons' inferno, fighters fighting, fighters killed, and the ground streamed blood." The Warriors fought until they couldn't raise their swords Legions vast, countless were their hordes Strength was failing, hope was turned to black The Wilding Kingdom charged in to attack Dangdo Derndo! Dangdo Derndo! Dangdo Derndo! Masule fled from danger as his gods fell from the sky Prometheus then slew him, it was time to say goodbye The Valaroma slew the remnant of their host The arrogant were chastised for the hubris in their boast Hail the Valaroma and the Armies of the Light Who purge the ghouls of darkness like a Fire in the Night The time is near at hand, when Wrath will show its face Shrink not from your destiny, Rise up and take your place Hail the Valaroma and the Armies of the Light Who purge the ghouls of darkness like a Fire in the Night The time is near at hand, when Wrath will show its face Shrink not from your destiny, Rise up and take your place

Intro Verse 1 In a distant bog Dwelt the Sarraneem Where Sairren governed from his throne There did they gorge themselves Upon forbidden flesh While earthbound serpents feasted on their bones Verse 2 For Sairren had seen In the last battle The Dragons of Prometheus make war Pre Chorus King Zeushin his plan defined Gorthang's honeyed words could not sway his iron mind Defeat a risk he wouldn't take No hasty plans or dire mistakes Chorus On the plains of Fallowsgate marched a wicked horde Death and ruin dealt by the armies of the Lord While his warriors fought for the honor of his name Dragons on the Eastern plain Met with claw and flame Verse 3.1 The wilding kingdom slew them as they fled that winter's night The wise among the Sarraneem Disavowed the fight Verse 3.2 Those who still pursued their lust Were slain in feral glee Torn apart and mangled By monsters of the sea Verse 3.3 Countless winged predators Descended from the skies Enemies were shredded To the sound of piercing cries Verse 3.4 The hosts of Zeushin appeared Grim fury closing in A War of Heaven Imminent Accalobain Iedolin Pre Chorus 2 The firmament was shaken As horror stirred the skies All who saw it shuddered Fled and hid their eyes To the darkling caverns Prometheans made haste Faced with utter ruin And no more time to waste Chorus 2 Warriors of Prometheus Strove above the clouds Battle in the Heavens With demons fierce and proud Skyborne fires of conflict Burned in wrathful flame Fire from heaven scarred the ground Oceans boiled and trees were drowned Words cannot describe the sound Earth consumed by flames It was never the same Interlude Broken and rent was the world so that naught remained as it was intended Dark Riff Oceans were delved while others were drained Mountains were raised while others were toppled And lands were cast while others were drowned Mottled with the putrid corpses of the dead and dying, glowered the ruined fields and forests of the world; And fetid pools of baneful waters beckoned the thirsty with kisses of death Supreme Dark Riff So arduous were the cavernous roads, that each company believed that they were likely the only survivors. For this reason, each took to itself a leader And some of these would become the remote sires of the great kings and kingdoms that would spread themselves throughout the lands: a chronicle of triumph and grandeur. Guitar Solo Verse 4 All throughout the ages of their wanderings Tales of gods and monsters they inspired Conquering the other tribes They built their towers tall But Royal Blood was tainted and bemired Verse 5 The Children of Prometheus made their cities great Sairren burned with envy Masule fumed with hate Stop Time Turn Around Pedal Point Chorus 3 With Natteley in ruins, king Zeushin looked out Memories of Gorthang's words filled his soul with doubt All this war and turmoil came from but one source That merchant's honeyed words In hindsight most absurd He wished he'd never heard Which steered him from his course Chorus 4 Gorthang saw in chaos A chance to reign as king A chance to topple nations A chance to pull the strings East and north he hobbled Toward a cursed hill He raised his chalice in a toast A parasitic ill sclerosed Soon he would infest a host And undermine its will With spells of poisoned words meant to kill

Gorthang brewed his poison With mingled blood of thralls A wretched mast of flame Who haunted secret halls He made himself a master And taught his children well He vilified the noble Gods And banished them to hell They grew into a people A vain pretentious flesh The world was theirs to own His Specials, the Vyresh Disguised as blameless victims Proud kingdoms brought to ends They undermined in secret Pretending to be friends Theirs was the one true God One lord to rule them all They claimed to bring salvation But led fools to their fall They named their victim Ganyah An upright talking beast They stripped him of his rights And slew him for the feast Verse 1 But some Ganyah resisted They stood tall against the lies Boldly they proclaimed the truth And opened many eyes As Gorthang sent his hordes To crush the Spirit of the West King Lason of Ananoel Rode out upon his quest Chorus The Darkness is dying Behold the climbing Sun A New Dawn is Rising The Night is nearly Done Verse 2 The Royal Arganantum Battled many foes And corpses piled about them As they dealt in deadly blows Outnumbered many times Undaunted their crusade When many times they nearly died The Gods flew to their aid Chorus The Darkness is dying Behold the climbing Sun A New Dawn is Rising The Night is nearly Done Bridge They rode into the chasm Seeking oracles concealed An encounter with the Goddess A secret was revealed “A new hope she gave them, a new direction to fly: a region atop a towering wave of rock on the banks of a mountain - once enshrined, yet now forgotten; for she revealed that there the king and his men would find the greatest of treasures, for, if salvation yet lived - there they would find Prometheus, the Lord.” Solo Verse 3 - (breakdown) As they climbed the mountain Brave warriors met their ends Goodbye to wives and children Farewell to kin and friends As Lason reached the summit His enemies closed in Against such reckless hatred How could he ever win? Verse 4 The mountaintop was barren Save a boulder in the sand This would be his end Where he’d make his final stand But as he crept around the stone He stumbled back in shock For there a wounded wasted man Lay chained against the rock Chorus The Darkness is dying Behold the climbing Sun A New Dawn is Rising The Night is nearly Done

There the Lord told him of the Viciant and the only way the King could set him free Chains far too strong to be broken Salvation in the forging of a Key All his strength spent as enemies drew near Lason knew not how to win that day Prometheus could make the sacred key With Living Fire and Royal Cosmic Clay Lason gave his life for his People Prometheus took the Fire and Clay As a man he wielded sword and shield But as a God he slew all in his way Prometheus Redeemed his Viciant Who daily stole his energy and might Restoring him as Aditon the Eagle Redemption and Nobility in flight The Lord and his Eagle met Anairyan To celebrate his father's mighty deeds A celebration of heroic sacrifice A feast of solemn oaths and noble creeds They sailed the White Ship to Promethiea Into the pristine Bay of Aelume Angelic Swans swam forth to greet them Swans who had been human in their day From the Sacrifice of Heroes The Tree of Freedom Grows Where this Courage comes from Only Heaven knows When enemies encircle And evil brings them down Heroes do what must be done To win the Blessed Crown

Vengeance 11:28
Zeushin’s kingdom had grown weak Eclipsed by Gorthang’s reign The Lord marched on to Natteley To set things right again As Zeushin sat upon his throne Rendering decrees A lightning bolt impaled him Brought the bastard to his knees “This is not your way!” The dying king proclaimed “Guilt no longer holds me Vengeance is my Name!” Gasping, Zeushin died The royal court was shocked Prometheus destroyed them all With tides of molten rock The Lord returned to Quinya And sent his host to fight To raze the Army of the Damned And purge the Parasite Passing into Harlutt To the brink of Sargorthang He breached their gates unnoticed A Serpent to defang Gorthang heard of Zeushin’s death And sent his host to kill For Gorthang knew he’d overspent ‘Twas time to pay the bill As Gorthang sat in Ashgar Two White Birds approached his throne He spread his leathern wings And mocked with cruel tones But just as Gorthangs soldiers Moved to slay the birds Blinding light laid them low And thunder spake in words As Prometheus appeared Gorthang’s guards attacked But then fell lifeless to the ground Like beasts with broken backs Then Gorthang came a groveling A coward to the last He spoke again those honeyed words Which had worked in the past Crying out and striking Gorthang’s treachery was vain So once more he played the victim Innocence he feigned Prometheus had none of it And gashed the demon’s neck Then cast him to the bloodstained ground That wretched craven wreck Then the Lord’s glowing eyes Burned like raging fires And Gorthang shrieked in pain Like a dreadful banshee choir Tis said that few have felt That kind of desperate pain For Gorthang’s body melted Leaving nothing but a stain Anairyan’s armies Gathered for the war Facing death as heroes Like the demigods of yore The Evil Army charged the keep with lust for blood and flesh But confusion overtook them their minds and wills enmeshed To and fro they scattered Chaotic motley squads Their men slew one another And gods slew other gods But then a vicious remnant Launched a final strike Their faces grim with malice They charged with deadly pikes Anairyan blew his horn and rode into the fray Atop a mighty steed And glorious as the day His fearless armies followed Armor gleaming like the dawn Banners flowing in the light Raucous cheers and merry songs Like a cleansing storm The warriors hewed them low Dying whispers filled the air Like somber strains of woe The Lord then brought his children Into Enchanted Lands With loving care he blessed their works The labors of their hands Through untold generations The Sacred Choirs sing Of the Glory of Prometheus And the courage of the King Heed the Warrior’s Call Many enemies to slay Become the fearsome Predator Turn them into the prey Cast away the needless yoke And purge the poison screeds Evil is not put to death Without ferocious deeds
